Howdy folks,

I have been restoring a sweet old triumph for the past couple weeks. It looks like I might need to replace some of the brake components. The brakes are a Raleigh rod brake system. Does anyone know where I can order replacement parts and does anyone have experience working on these? Thanks.

Good to know that Truimph is getting some attention.....yes, you need to go to www.yellowjersey.org. (An old bicycle shop in Madison, WI). Scroll down, and on the left click on BIKES. Scroll down to ROADSTERS. Then scroll all the way down to COMPLETE ROADSTER SERVICE SPARES page. This is the most comprehensive source I've found. You might like all the other classic and vintage parts found elsewhere on the site as well.

If you have any questions or concerns during the process, don't hesitate to ask...look at those shiny new rims for it as well..that will make it come to life!

Robert I will check out Yellow Jersey and then I may enlist your help with setting up the brakes. Tim we should definitely take the bike to Louisville after we get it up and running. I originally thought it was much older, 20s, but a close inspection of the Sturmey Archer hub revealed that it was a 1959 model.
