I think his is a classic case of how good intentions can get easily corrupted when big money and politics are concerned.

Not enough people with big balls and integrity out there. And those who have it, get shut down quickly by strong-armed, closed-door tactics.

Some interesting and not-so-surprising footnotes to this whole dirty deal:

- Woodford Webb has been appointed Chairman of the Board for the Lexington Chamber of Commerce for 2009.

- Darby Turner, the lawyer representing the Webbs and the "face" of the whole CentrePointe fiasco in the media and at all the Council meetings, has just been appointed Chairman to the Kentucky State Chamber of Commerce.
