anybody know the details on the thriller parade? this may end up being a midday friday or a thursday night race.

It usually closes main from the kentucky theater to phoenix park for an hour or so right around sundown. Then there's an after-parade where everyone follows a giant michael jackson puppet from the park to 3rd street stuff where they have free food and music.

I think you could still do the race on the day of the thriller... Seems like that gets going early because it it bringing down more families.

The hallocat could always be later and then have our own after party somewhere

More than 100 zombies will invade downtown Lexington this Halloween. This year's annual performance of Michael Jackson's Thriller will be held at 8:30 p.m. The undead will start out at the Kentucky Theatre and proceed down Main Street to Limestone performing their "Thriller" routine numerous times along the way. A thirty-minute showcase of various acts will take place immediately following the street parade in the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza. An after party follows the event's conclusion at Third Street Stuff & Coffee.

Maybe this event is one of the stops. Or ask some of the thriller folks to go hide around downtown and then have a true haunted hallowcat.

In my opinion, I wouldn't go too late however. Starting a race at 10pm might thin the heard, but hey, it is a friday night so it could be pretty cool.
