My cruiser, AKA sunday morning, was stolen on this gorgeous sunday morning. She was parked in our courtyard on West Second. This should be a softball for all you bike bounty hunters out there. This bike is a black cruiser with gigantic handle bars, red flame grips, a red and silver banana seat with a sissy bar that doubles as a back rest. This is the best picture I could find this morning http://www.flickr.com/photos/politicalhero/2541572110/in/set-72157605368254928/ If anyone else has a better pic, please post. Give me a call or a pm if you find her. Thanks yall.

another distinction is that the rims are white with red pinstripes.

This one shouldn't be hard to spot if some dumbass is out there riding it around.

Thanks to the heroics of Mr. Flowers, Sunday Morning has returned home. Quite possibly the shortest stolen incident in Lexington's history. Thanks Brad.

i wanna hear the story.

did he chase after the thief with a big heavy chain while riding his bike and smash them to the ground? that would be sweet.

I think that's the story we should stick with until we hear otherwise.

He was on his way to work, and there in the distance ahead of him was a crackhead wobbling along on the sidewalk riding Sunday Morning. Brad whipped out his lock, sprinting forward, cape flapping in the early morning breeze. Nearing the bike thief, he jumped up so he was riding with one foot on the stem, the other on the seat, lock poised over his head.

With a mighty cry of "FOR BEER AND JUSTICE!" he threw the lock, catching the thief square between the shoulderblades, knocking him off the bike. At almost the same moment, he jumped from his bike onto Sunday Morning (narrowly avoiding an incident with the sissy bar), hopped it off the curb, caught his own bike by the top tube in his left hand and cruised the rest of the way to Pedal Power. Which he owns.

we can save the details to Brad or Shane, but based on the story, the person who was found to be in possession of the stolen bike (and riding it), was described to me as a person whom I've seen downtown and at downtown events numerous times. I don't claim to know this person's name, and I'm not sure who does.

That said, I wish I did... because bike thieves (even alleged ones) deserve to get the fucking Scarlet Letter treatment.
