Before Wednesday's asphalt hoedown some of you courtside might have heard some screeching automobile tires around 6:30.

Here's what it was:

That was a pimpled-faced, buzzed-cut, stogy-choking punk insanely hitting the turn from Jefferson onto 6th. Didn't brake from 30mph before the elbow I'm guessing . He was on two wheels, squinting eyes, cigarette ashes exploding over his ripped white t-shirt, and then astonished he had some margin of control. If I was 10 seconds earlier in my transit to polo, I'd be red paste in the grill and broken windshield of his growling dilapidated chevet.

Moral of the story: there's worse things that could happen to you during polo. Let's say a nearly taco'd rim that Grant both created and fixed that same night.
