they say they attract 100 racers to some of the alleycats...

werent there 98 here last halloween? granted they werent all brakeless track bikes... thats pretty cool though if you ask me. i think most of us arent hardcore enough to run lights through thick traffic anyway, not to mention that we dont have the nighttime traffic of new york or chicago.

89 registered riders... probably a few more who weren't registered too, so it was close. That was our biggest one yet, and I think Roscoe's Loverboy race might have come in a close second.

what's cool here is that we still get a lot of folks who come out to do it just for fun, and not for frontin' or pissing contests or whatever. I have a feeling you'd get a lot of that sort of thing in the bigger cities' races. Also, we try to at least mix things up a bit here so that the races aren't always geared to the advantage of the fastest, most insane riders. I like being surprised by who does well in a particular race.

yeah, thats what i like about the races here, i can bring people who have never been on a bike before and they enjoy it.

learning to ride a bike and doing a alley cat in the same day just sounds dangerous...Wink
