Get ready to Bike for the Bluegrass!
The Fayette Alliance and The Bluegrass Cycling Club and sponsors Wallace Station, Windy Corner, Good Foods Market & Cafe, and Fitness Plus present the 2nd Annual Bike for the Bluegrass.
Visit http://bikeforthebluegrass2010.eventbrite.com/?ref=ebtn to register.
Bike for the Bluegrass is a remarkable opportunity for you to experience some of the most renowned thoroughbred farms in the Bluegrass from the back of your bike. Riders will have an inside look at the unparalleled natural beauty and history of our signature equine industry, while helping fund the mission of The Fayette Alliance. As a gesture of support for The Fayette Alliance, Fasig-Tipton, Gainesway, Mt. Brilliant, Castleton Lyons, UK Equine Campus of Maine Chance Farm, and Cobra have agreed to open their gates exclusively for this event.
The Fayette Alliance is Lexington’s ONLY land-use advocacy organization that regularly educates and lobbies local government for a sustainable growth model that benefits all of us. We believe that preserving our signature Bluegrass landscape, creating a dynamic and equitable cityscape through infill redevelopment, and improving our natural waterways by fixing our sanitary sewer and stormwater systems are key components to achieving our economic and environmental promise here in Lexington-Fayette County.
When: Sat, October 30th, 2010
Where: The event will begin at Fasig-Tipton and continue through several area farms including Mt. Brilliant, Gainesway, Cobra, UK Equine Campus of Maine Chance Farm and Castleton Lyons.

I highly recommend this ride to anyone interested. Me, Brad Flowers and Kevin Klimment were among those who did this ride last year and it was a lot of fun. Kevin did it on his fixed, even.
Plus, it's a great cause to support! _________________ ------------[] O |
