I just got this message from Sarah Hood, the owner of Rebel yarn shop.
I am kinda out of the loop with polo. If anyone is interested in heading this up, I can put you in contact with her.
See her email below.
Cheers
Tim
Hey, South Limestone is having a street party from 4pm-midnight on Saturday June 19th for the street reopening. The street will be closed off and we were wondering if the bike folks would like to have a polo game or something at some point during the festivities.

It's also flat between Maxwell and High. I live right over there and the streets are looking nice.
Let's make this happen! |

Polo-ers
Could also approach organizers about playing on one of the sidestreet connections. Police usually place the close off barricades back from the street where the last intersection or driveway on the intersecting street is located. (Keeps cars from having to turn around.)
Pine Street next to Two Keys Tavern for example might be closed back to Lawrence St. (?). Pretty level there eh?
This would provide a choice for a level place to play and keep the main drag open for revelers.
Drag? Revelers? Sounds like a party!

I'll be out of town on the 19th, so I won't be able to play or attend, but if anyone needs any help beforehand in making this happen, I will do whatever I can to help. _________________ ------------[] O |

I sent Sarah an email telling her that we'd like to play but need to find borders. I hear the border patrol barriers are in pretty bad shape and may crack and fall apart if we try to move them. Does anyone have connections to get those plastic wall barriers used in road construction? Those would be perfect.
Also, roller races at Sidecar after polo on Lime! _________________ T$ |

Tiff and I went and looked at the pads we have been using and they will work as long as we can use the curbs as sides. witch would mean we would take up the whole street. what do you all think? |
