|
|
*UPDATE:Because of the heavy rains and storms today, we have rescheduled this for Sunday, May 16th. Same time and location.
Bike Lexington 2010 will once again be hosting the 3rd Annual Velo Swap, in cooperation with The Void Skateshop. Here are the details:
3rd annual Bike Lexington Velo Swap
Sunday, May 16th
Noon - 4pm
The Void Skateshop
518 E. High Street (between Kentucky Ave. & Woodland Ave.)
Kick off Bike Lexington 2010 with the annual Velo Swap. This event is FREE and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring their used bike parts, cycling gear, and bike-related items to sell or swap with others. This is a great opportunity to find those parts you need, or to clear out your parts drawer to make room for another season of stuff. There will be a few tables provided, but they are on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can bring whatever you need to help you set up and display your goods. Please come prepared with your items clearly marked & priced (trust me, this helps!).
Lexington's own Berry Pedalers will be on site making refreshing pedal-powered "Ky Fizzes" (Ale-8 + fresh fruit) with their self-propelled bike blenders.
This event will end at 4pm, so the bike polo folks will still have plenty of time to get some Sunday playing in. _________________ ------------[] O

already getting word in from some people who will be bringing loads of good stuff... Alex Brooks, Matt Hassman, possibly even Bill Woodward who brought that truckload of gold to the last swap at Coolavin.
Time to empty those closets! _________________ ------------[] O |

This will be the 2010 debut of the Berry Pedalers! We will be pedaling strawberry, blackberry and peach KY Fizzes!
Also, Bike Bike Creations is in need of steel frames that are no longer rideable. If you have any and feel like bringing them to the swap we will trade you KY fizzes for dead bikes. |

Please see the UPDATE above. In the event of prolonged rain on Sunday, we will reschedule for the 16th. I'll make the final announcement Sunday morning. _________________ ------------[] O |

Just started to go around the garage and pick some ponies to put in the sale... looking to unload the 1986 "lavender" Schwinn Predator and the Trek fixed gear that I built up a bunch of years back.
Might be bringing some random parts also! |

Just a reminder to everyone about the Velo Swap this weekend! Weather looks like it will cooperate with us this time around.
I hope to see lots of folks out with lots of bikes and bike stuff to sell or trade!
12 noon to 4pm, Void Skateshop. Sunday, May 16th. Do it! _________________ ------------[] O |

Don't let the forecast scare you... we're not canceling the velo swap no matter what it does tomorrow, so come out prepared to buy, sell or trade some bike stuffs!
The guys at The Void and Spiv's (formerly the 'Jonk' folks, next door to the Void) are super excited about tomorrow and we'll have food, tables, tents... everything we need to rock another Velo Swap.
Get there early to either set up your wares, or catch the deals before they're all gone.
See you there! _________________ ------------[] O |
