|
|
B-town is looking to host our first official event on April 17th. We're especially hoping our southern brothers (and sisters) would be willing to make the haul up to Hoosierland for a weekend of polo and debauchery. I know y'all are hosting your own friendlies only a couple weeks prior (which our whole club is planning on attending, btw) so hopefully we can return the favor and share our fair city with you.
Our city is extremely bike friendly, we have the largest (micro) brewery in Indiana, tons of good veg food, and the weekend following this event is the greatest cycling event in America, the Little 500. We love to show you how awesome our little city is. Not that we need to convince you, cause hopefully a weekend of polo will be enough to entice.
I apologize posting on here instead of emailing you individually, but i don't actually have any of yr email address. Speaking of...
wardenofthewoods at gmail dot com if you ever have any questions about (or will be in ) bloomington indiana.

Thanks for the invite Zachary!
I love Bloomington. Are frat boys still burning couches during Little 5? I want to go. Shit Squad, can we muster a team?
Please keep us updated. |

Wow, glad to see you guys are so familiar with our local culture! And damn now i want to make my own dave stoller helmet! Did i mention that i live 1 door down from "his" house?
Keep in mind this is an invite to a polo event happening the weekend BEFORE little 500 (on April 17th). But we're doing it then so that we (and anyone who wants to come) can enjoy the race which happens on April 24th. |

Even though everyone who goes will miss my alleycat on the 17th, I'm forced to support the trip out of my irrational love of coaster brakes on road bikes.
edit: alleycat resched'd'd to the 16th. |

I am attempting to actually be preemptive about this so I can work out a way to go. Are the friendlies still on as scheduled? Lex, are people interested in going? I haven't heard much talk about this. I can haul three-four people and (if I can borrow a bike rack...) probably two to three bikes not including my own. I believe Bloomington is about three hours away, so it wouldn't be a bad drive at all. Yay! |

So who's going? One of the Bloomington guys left a t-shirt at my house during the tourney, if you go, I'd like you to take it. I do not plan on going, btw. |
