I'm not sure how I feel about that idea either, unless we're in a situation where not many teams show up to play... but I don't think that is going to be the case.
I wonder how players from other cities would feel about that? Will they be able to form multiple teams as well upon arrival? Personally, if I were to travel to another city to play in a tournament, no matter how formal or structured, I would be a bit discouraged to find that the home team had sandbagged the tournament by having the same players on multiple teams. _________________ ------------[] O |

I don't think anyone is being uptight. I think this tournament is going to be super-fun and I'm looking forward to mixing it up, and having a laid-back atmosphere. I'm just wondering if other players from other cities will be able to be on multiple teams as well? If so, then it all seems fair and good to me. _________________ ------------[] O |

i think there are a few issues with playing multiple teams. some are time/scheduling related, but i am also concerned with the expectations of people traveling a long distance.
i do like the idea of playing more polo w/different people though. maybe instead we could set up the padded boards in some parking lot for additional pickup.
i think it will be a blast either way, but lets decide on it by this weekend so out-of-towners know what to expect. |

I'm not sure if many of you know this or not, but apparently the roller hockey organization in town is no more. I know it is kind of far away, but if people wanted to carpool out to Masterson to play extra pick-up during the weekend on the full court out there, I doubt anyone would put up a fuss.
In fact, Brad and I met with Rudy from Parks & Rec this afternoon (more cool stuff about that later), and even Rudy seemed to suggest that we could play out there if we had to. _________________ ------------[] O |

Hey Brokebike can you talk more about this in the post "Masterson Station Hockey Courts" so it does not get too lost? I am interested to hear a lot more about what Rudy said. |

If anyone can bring out coolers on Sat and Sun it would be helpful.
Also, anyone with some cracked cymbals that we could use as tap outs would be fun. _________________ T$ |

i've got one cracked cymbal i grabbed from home for the b court fence. i think just painting the boards would be fine for the inner taps. _________________ pterodactyl bike gang for life! |
