Hi,

I am looking for a good commuter bike that is also affordable. I don't mind paying a little extra for a nice one. If anyone has one for sale or knows of a well recommended new one that would do the job I would appreciate it.

- Thanks!

any specific style of bike you are looking for? could you specify a size as well? maybe a price range, just to let people know what you are looking for. i think probably someone here can help you. the more specific you are in what you are looking for, the more that someone can tailor a potential bike for you.

Thanks for the advice. I am not an avid bike rider, I'm just now looking into starting. I would like a bike that would be good for my hilly, four mile ride to work. Preferably something that I can add a rack to. I will go get measured to see what size would be best but I am pretty tall, 6'2'' if that helps. I would like to spend less than $550.

yeah, if you're new to bikes I would recommend going to a bike shop and just taking a few models out for a test ride to get an idea of what size feels good for you. Newer bikes - especially the laid-back, hybrid/commuter style bikes have weird sizing that doesn't necessarily compare to sizing of older, more traditional road bikes.
