So they've designed something and not built it, and its not a new design just a smaller version of something really old and is functionally a front wheel drive recumbent with a taller seat?

Genius.

Well, they built something like it called a yike bike. Watch the cheesed out video. Note the lady with the stolen bike wheel...and the contagious smiles...

I mean...seriously...

I've seen that. And that the expected MSRP of the Yike is around $5,000.

I like how the minifarthing FAQ says that being ejected off the front of the bike when you brake suddenly is a safety enhancement over regular bicycles.

These are not a bicycles, a fact mentioned in their FAQ. They should call it the yooterscooter. This promo video clearly shows they are fueled by radioactive cheesium. At 15mph and no pedaling, it would be a blast though to scoot around campus on one. And they carry 220lbs at that speed, a weight you'd become after using one for awhile.

The minifarthing site shows pedal only, electric only and hybrid models.

None of which seem any better than existing products, aside from that whole 'throw you off when you hit a bump' part.

Besides, this is clearly superior:

I resent that comment!

I can't dispute the truth of it, but I resent it!
