I got one of those plates when they first came out. Glad to see my money going to good use. Hopefully, some day in the future we can look back and thank this bicycle education for there not being as many dumbasses out there yelling at us to get out of the way.

Fellow Lex Cyclists-
I have been reading "Bicycling and the Law" by Bob Mionske JD, Road Rights columnist for Bicycling Magazine and would recommend it for any one who wishes to comment on cyclists rights to the road, where highway funds come from, and the legal rights, responsibilities, liabilities, and insurance.
Win at Morris Book Shop can order it for you - about $20 dollars.
Be careful out there,
Mike

Ok so, going against my better judgment and James' advice, I took a quick read through the comments. As always, this is a bad idea no matter what the topic is.

However, I did find this unsettling comment that you sort of have to take within the context of the rest of the comments and also with the tone of the other stuff this person says in his post:
Quote:
user, "acousticwork" writes: When driving out in the country, you try to avoid road kill by swerving around it. Sometimes, you have to hit it because swerving isn't an option. This is why some roads have bike lanes.

Perhaps just another stupid, harmless comment from a angry right-winger, but upon reading this, I can't help but think of this story from several months ago: http://www.wpxi.com/news/20267369/detail.html

There are a couple copies of this book over at Morris Book Shop right now, just in case anyone is interested in picking one up.
