"So I'm going to start this off with a statement. I am not looking for reasons why this won't work, I'm looking for help in MAKING it work.

Some friends and I have started a movement to transfer 80% of the production of bicycles and components manufactured for the U.S. market from Taiwan and China to the city of Detroit. Our objective is not to do this FOR Detroit, our objective is to give any help, tools, whatever, that Detroit needs to transform itself. http://www.retroit.org/blog for more info. We need web design help, we need people to help spread the word at Interbike, we need manufacturers to agree to move, we need money, pretty much anything you can think of will be needed at some point. If you have a mouth, you can help, talking to people accomplishes more than almost anything.
