So where exactly is the line between reckless disregard and reckless driving? |

Exactly, because if you're talking on the cell phone, aren't you essentially recklessly disregarding your driving??? I mean, I know everyone does it, which makes it seem like talking on the phone while driving isn't really "reckless" in most people's mind... but technically, anything that is going to intentionally take your attention away from the focus of driving - especially when that action is completely optional and voluntary - it should be considered reckless. _________________ ------------[] O |

makes me wonder if talking on the phone doesn't qualify as reckless disregard how did states with bans on talking on the phone in the car pass them? _________________ Albert Einstein trembled when he found out time was water. Seeping through the rafters to put out this burning world. |

Are there any states with outright cell driving bans? All the ones I've heard about only restrict people to hands-free calling. |

I think California and New York have done something like that, or at least tried. But has anyone else here seen that at least 80% of police officers in cruisers are seen on their cell phones, or am I just exaggerating each one I see? |
