has anyone had any experience painting anything made from carbon fiber?

i'll potentially be painting a carbon fiber fork in the near future and was wondering if there is anything to look out for. i'm planning on just using a rattle can with some clear coat, doesn't have to be pretty, just cheap and a different color.

any thoughts?

just paint it and clear coat it, i don't think there's anything special you'd have to do with it that you would normally have to do with metal.

if your using a rattle can be sure to allow plenty of time to dry between coats. i painted a shitty old carbon frame once and i had trouble getting the paint to stick to it.
