For those who were there, you know what this is about. I heard tell from the sidelines that there was rag-doll type flipping involved on my part. The last thing that i remember was clipping Rich while chasing the ball, seeing the ground, the sky, the ground again, then eating shit. This was by far and away the best spill i have taken for the love of polo. Included is a picture of the hematoma that appeared on my elbow later that night and was the least gory of the 5 wounds that I acquired.

That was indeed a good one. I seem to recall both you and Rich going over the bars simultaneously, but maybe that was just my mind's dramatic reenactment.

You have never failed to supply all of us with the very best, most horrific of polo crashes, Henry. We should start calling you 'ol bouncy bones, or something along those lines.

To me it just looked like one of those traveling cartoon dust clouds-a tangled mess of bodies and bikes from which nothing should have survived. You and Rich and lucky men.
