|
|
After being more or less off the bike for 5 months due to a disc problem in my back, I can finally ride for extended periods of time and be able to move the next day. So I decided to hop on the trainer to try to get back in shape for some long distance rides.
When I move the pedals, the trainer sounds like a creaky door that never stop creaking and is nearly impossible to get up to speed on because it is like the resistance is stuck on high. When i adjust it, I can see the plates move inside the trainer, but it never gets easier, just stays hard. Before i rip it apart, anybody got any ideas? Its a nashbar mag trainer with remote adjustable resistance.
I should have just bought rollers |

I had a mag trainer do that when I didn't use it for 6 months. It freed up after I sprayed a bunch of lube inside. |

Like onto the discs? Or at the roller connections? |

I used a spray can with a straw into the gap on both sides of the roller, then laid the trainer on its side overnight so gravity would pull the lube into all the internals. |
