I don't understand why that has to be so heavy. I mean, not that 20lbs. is heavy in bike terms (unless you're a weight weenie), but it seems like for what it is, and how it's built, it could be several pounds lighter.

I was wondering about the weight/height issues too. Not sure why they are 20-24lbs. Maybe it's the plastic wheels?
As for the height, not sure I could fit on it very well. This is just the first folding bike that looks like it breaks down so small to make traveling with it very easy - i also like the single speed simplicity. There's a distributer up in Columbus OH. Someone should buy one so I can try it out Wink

seriously! no way then. I mean, I'll ride a $900+ bike but only when the extra money is going to "make me faster"

I'd ride it, but I wouldn't buy it.

greaseless so the adds say

Hard to see in the picture, but I think its a belt drive.

Folders are almost always heavy because hinges weigh more than tubing. Plus the tubing usually has to be thicker to compensate for the lack of triangulation.

Edit: the more I look at it the wonkier the geometry seems. The head tube pivot is directly over the bottom bracket. Kooky.

The picture on the top is the disc brake expensive model, the lower picture is the origional band brake model that is $500.ish, and I've seen them $300.00ish on ebay. This thing folds up faster than any other folding bike, silent belt drive, and you can change a tube with the wheels still on the bike. For taller folks, the seat slides all the way up near the handlebars, making it feel like you're riding a pennyfarhting. When I rode one a couple of years ago, it handled GREAT! It was a real blast, and since you don't really see the bike out in front of you it felt like a real fast unicycle. It's not so good after 5 miles or so. I almost bought one for $325.00, but I don't really need a folding bike.

That's a positive for you and me, other people maybe not so much.

The color scheme of the top one reminds me of my favorite production folder of the last 5 years, the fixed gear Dahon Hon-Solo.

It seems like a think outside of the box design and i can always respect that (i even like the belt drive idea), but that tube that the seat rides on scares by ballsack.
