I might do the mini, but I have not decided yet.

I have run the mini I think 4 times. It is a fun race, a little crowded but fun. I ran the full marathon two years ago and man that is a lonely race. You go from running with 10,000 people to running by yourself after mile 10 (or 12, can't remember). This is where the mini folks split off and then you are by yourself and I remember stretches when I could not see one person in front of behind me.

have fun.

well from what i hear it is pretty much the same course as in ironman. if thats the case its all flat and a fast course.

yeah, ive ran races where you end up alone and while it is not fun i absolutely love the feeling of feeling like you're going to shut down but pushing through it.

I love this race! I'll be in the mini. You can find me in the back.

p.s. you get a free beer when you finish.....remember the slogan "I'd walk a mile for a camel" What would you do for a free lukewarm Budweiser??

When I ran the KY Derby Marathon in 2007 I was so excited when I crossed the finish line to get my free beer. I made my way to the tent and I think it was Mic Ultra. Well I have a new marketing slogan for them

"Even after running 26.1 miles, our beer still tastes like ass!"

I could not even drink it
