Worst commuting conditions of the year in my opinion. I rode to work and then around to a couple meetings and it was heinous. I managed not to eat it, but I did lower my seat so I could use my boots as stabilizing skis. The extra long wheel base of the xtracycle provided some much need stability too. I left the bike at wildcat wheels and walked home using two ski poles destined for polo. Without those the walk from campus to downtown would have been much much slower. Be careful out there tomorrow! |

I had more fun on a bike last night than I had in a while. Aylesford has a tree blocking it, and the entire street is iced over. So I tied a sled to the back and started towing friends down the street with an old beater mountain bike I'd found; the speed gets pretty intense near the end. Hopefully my street doesn't see any plows today either. |

I bombed Marquis on my polo bike yesterday and it was like trying to ride a fish. The back end of the bike was constantly sliding from left to right.
Most of the streets back in the Hollywood area are still covered in a sheet of ice if anyone wants to venture back here and give it a go. They never clear the streets over here. _________________ ------------[] O |
