I always wanted a Voightlander as well, back when I was shooting a lot of film.

What I really want is a digital camera that shoots native square format. Hopefully there'll be some in the next few years. Right now only Ricoh makes them, and they're too expensive.

I would love for someone to make an affordable digital back for a Hassy (Sara and I each have one from back in our photo days)... but I think they're still over $10K

I wouldn't look for that to happen for a while. Medium format size digital sensors are not going to get cheap any time soon.

so i bought tim's holga without realizing it took 120 film. (duh)

so i went home and converted it to 35mm. it only took $2 in quarters and a piece of masking tape. and it develops out with the endearing feed loops of the 35mm.

i got the very simple instructions and chart for how many times it needs to be clicked in between shots off flickr.

if this is something everyone knows about, forgive me. im just way excited about this.

are you developing the 35mm yourself?

If so, all you need is the right tank and reels to develop your own 120mm film. I have some 120 stuff still in a box, so let me know if you're interested.

let me clarify, i went in to tim's home to buy the camera without knowing it was 120. he told me and gave me the chance to not buy it. i bought it anyway, not knowing what i would do with it.

i am not develpoing it myself. i have no idea how to do it, nor do i have any space in my home for it.

i am taking it to be developed today and will try to post them on flickr as soon as i get them back.

i also saw a modification to make the camera 70 mm, using 2 rolls, but that is a little to avant gard for me. cool nonetheless.

the only thing i am not fond of is having to count the number of clicks between pictures. this gets very challenging after a night of drinking.
