While I'm not really familiar with this BBC show (no cable tv), I have heard lots about it from my 5 year old car-obsessed nephew.

Anyways, the premise of this episode of Top Gear (a show where some dudes do crazy stunts with cars) is that the hosts all take different modes of transportation across London in a "race" to see who gets to the airport first. One guy takes a Mercedes SUV, one takes a speedboat, one takes public transportation, and the last guy takes a bike.

That show is entertaining but that was great. The guy on the bike was right on top of those buses. London looks pretty flat at least. Boat sure looked fun.

They do all sorts of fun stuff on that show, in addition to car reviews and celebrity road racing challenges.

My favorite was when they pointed out how dumb it was to get environmental tax credits on hybrids by showing you could get better MPG by babying a car with a V8 than you could out of a Prius.

They've done a bunch of public transport vs cars experiments, they're usually amazingly close.
