I know you can get those on ebay as a grey market type deal, but is anyone importing them for retail like they're doing with Royal Infield motorcycles?
Ok, I'm calling it right now: Enough of us have them starting in the spring we're doing scooter/moped/motorcycle rides. Who's in?

I've got a motorcycle but a group ride sounds boring. I'll gladly try to moto-pace with you scooter drivers though on my bicycle. _________________ Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle |

There will so be moto-pacing. And beer. And pizza. Or burritos. Mmm, burritos. |

I mean on the one hand, we're dirtier, but we're also more stylish. They wear tighter clothes, but we're far cooler.

Not so sure about this. Some of the jeans you guys wear are tighter than any pair of shorts I've seen on the BCCers. |

Man, we sure can't get enough of the "tight jeans + fixed gear = hipster" jokes around here.
Keep 'em coming because they never get old.

Logan, I got my powder blue from Metro up in Cinci. The place on Versailles carries them too. info: http://genuinescooters.com/scooters/stella/stella.html
100% EPA and DOT approved, still horrible for the environment none the less.
Edit: I'm in for a group ride assuming mine ever makes it back out of the shop |

Oooh, I just got a new tank for my motorcycle. Now hopefully with one more carb cleaning/rebuild I will be up and running again. Why does everything break down at once? |

I know what your talking about. I recently did a tank cleaning, installed a liner and cleaned the float bowls and needles on my carbs. Put it back together and come to find out that the cdi had gone bad in the meantime. It feels pretty cool to fix the shit myself but it can also feel hopeless at times. The old bikes look cool but they also have a lot to watch out for. _________________ Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle |

Good to know. I'd drive up to Cinci before I'd buy from the Versailles rd shop, though. Heard way too many bad things about that place.
Is it 150cc two stroke?
I've been working on mine for almost a year. Stripped off everything not vital to make it run, replaced a chain and sprocket that hadn't been lubed since 1982, coated the tank, fuel lines, spokes, tires, lights, wiring problems, etc. Its a rat but fun as hell to ride.

Yep, 150 2 stroke, 4 speed manual. It's in the shop up in Cinci right now with a warranty issue. I figure I might as well let them tinker on it as long as it's free. My Suzuki 750 on the other hand is getting about the same treatment as yours is, except I'm really over my head on that one. |

The one in the pic above has been down more than its been up. Hasn't stayed running more than one tank of gas so far. Hopefully its all fixed now.
Luckily my 250 has never had any mechanical problems. |
