My grey Trek hybrid bike was stolen tonight off our home on Southview Ave, replaced with a green "Do the Dew" mountain bike. My bike has a sticker that says "the bicycle shop" with a logo of an old timey bike with an enormous front wheel and a tiny back wheel. it also has a red sticker that is registered with the penn state police...not sure what it actually says. We're assuming it's some kid, but I want my bike back! It's my transportation! If you see it, please call 859-619-5274 or email jairusrossi@gmail.com. Thanks!! |

weird.
last year, my brother-in-law had his Giant mtn. bike stolen from his back yard and whoever took it left a Dr. Pepper full-suspension mtn. bike in its place. Maybe there's a serial "cola-themed bike bandit" in the area.
was your bike locked up? _________________ ------------[] O |

Man that sucks! Sorry to hear it, especially since you guys are spitting distance from our house.
Hopefully your shameful note on the left behind bike will guilt the person back, doubt it, but hopeful!
With all the bike theft going on these days makes me feel like I need to lock my bikes to something, inside the locked garage. |

people will take anything if they can... no matter where you keep it, no matter where you live.
An unlocked, unattended bike is only a matter of time before it's good as gone. _________________ ------------[] O |

This sucks, people stealing bikes or whatever. If you live near Tim, then those backyards are pretty private and it would seem that the thief cased or knew your place.
Increasing security at home? I helped a friend install wi-fi webcams that make basically a closed-circuit security system that he can access anywhere from a webpage login. It archives individual pictures or video and would be something to give police.
This is all very paranoid I know, but it is nice to know that you can look over your place when you're not there. Now we're just working on a beefy UPS in case someone cuts the power. |
