I do... but not much.
I was contacted last week by the person in charge of organizing the show. It is through UK, and I think Pedal Power is on board as a sponsor. Not sure what direction they are wanting to go with for this show. It could either be really cool, or really lame... which sucks because the subject of bikes has the potential to make a really great show. I think it comes down to how the person organizing the show views bikes.
I gave some suggestions for some artists to contact and some angles to approach the formation of the exhibit, but we'll see... They may be wanting to keep this kind of local, but I'm afraid they may have trouble casting a good net if they do so... _________________ ------------[] O |

Also, submitting your "call for artists" a month before the show opens is kinda crazy.
I'm not sure how they expect to put together a quality show on such short notice, but I'm trying to keep my hopes up that it'll be something worth checking out. _________________ ------------[] O |

Yeah. Nothing says "we'll take any old thing you have laying around" like 30 days notice.
The deadline for submissions is 8 days before the show opens.
Kids these days. |

From what I can remember about my time as an art student at UK, the Rasdall was mostly employed for BFA shows, or small collections of work exhibited on the short term by visiting artists giving a lecture... those kinds of things. Pretty low-key and low profile. _________________ ------------[] O |

Just raid the Wildcat Wheels shop, there's a couple of bike sculpture things still in there, though Shane would be the one to contact about that. Also Pat's old shopping cart bike is still at his old house on Maxwell, I think, and that's a potential piece as well. |

So, turns out I've got a piece in the bike art show.
What should I pretend my "vision" was so I sound all artistic and shit? |

I should have submitted more than one, but I was too lazy to make any new prints. The one I submitted was already finished and framed. |
