I rode for an hour tonight, my toes got cold (in spite of wool socks and shoe covers) but my hands stayed nice and toasty in my cannondale wind proof gloves. Did I mention I'm getting paid by them to make these comments? |
Yeah, I try to race(very unsuccessfully), so january and february are prime time for base building- which means long cold rides. |

I think we should all do a 1-2 hour group ride some cold day, with our different methods of keeping hands warm and end the ride at Andrew's house then remove our gloves and put our hands up his shirt one at a time. Then he can judge who had the warmest, most pleasant hands and make his glove decision accordingly. _________________ Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle |

I agree that the Descente Wombat gloves aren't as warm as they look. The latex liner is a interesting idea.
I've been happy with a pair of waterproof socks made by Sealskinz and am curious about their new gloves. Has anyone tried these?

Probikekit has some good prices. This is a surprise since they are located in England. |

Yeah, I despise cold hands. My Trek brand Camel-Toes are awesome, but after 4 years they are wearing a little thin, and they aren't waterproof, but they stay dry under the CARRADICE RAIN CAPE...For those who are not comfortable being seen in a rain cape, I highly recommend sliding the camel-toes into OR (outdoor research) waterproof overmitts.
