Kyle and possibly a few other Lex polo players will be traveling to Louisville this holiday weekend to visit family. He posted on the Louisville Polo facebook page suggesting that there should be some playing between Lou / Lex for those who are over there this weekend.

So, for those of us still in Lexington this Sunday, would anyone else be willing to drive into Louisville to join Kyle and whoever else wants to play polo in Louisville?

If enough people are interested, I can drive with two other people and two other bikes.

Just throwing it out there... might be a nice change of pace.

Yeah, I talked to Jason yesterday, and the current plan is that I will be meeting them to play around noon on Sunday. I borrowed two mallets from our bag, some cones and a ball so we would be set in Louisville. He said that he would be able to round up around 15 people but we'll see how it goes. If anyone wants to come from Lexington, they should but there are a couple of things we should check out first: namely the weather and the court. The court Jason mentioned was a basketball court, hopefully it is fenced, and the weather may not be perfect.

I just went out with Jason today to scope out some possible spots to play, and we have a site for good and bad weather.

We've got a court to play on and a completely covered court as well if it rains. Given this, you'll should definitely come play some polo tomorrow. We have set the time for 11 am now so we can have a little more time to play.

The first spot is Breslin Park in Louisville:

There is a covered area behind the school that will work perfectly. It's not enclosed, but hopefully we can rig something up or rely on some spectators to keep the ball in check.

Thanks for coming over to our inaugural game today. Total Louisville turnout: 6, Lex. turnout: 6.

Next time we play Louisville will be in much better form. We have some catching-up to do.

Yeah! It was a great time... and the spot was pretty cool, even though we had to chase the ball a bit. At least we stayed dry. Thanks for the hospitality, Louisville. When you guys travel down to Lexington, we'll return the favor.
