Are folks interested in riding in the Holiday Parade again this year?
It is scheduled for 5:30 on November 29.
I can't speak for everyone, but I believe most folks had a great time last year.
I am happy to deal with the application and such if people are interested.
If we do decide to participate, would we want to schedule another "build" day or was it too much of a flop last time?
You can check the flickr group for photos from last year. I believe we had over 40 people ride in the parade and hand out blinking bike lights.
I think it would be good to try and get BCC folks, the trail folks and everyone else to ride together as a group under "bike lexington"
Thoughts? |

I'm all for it. We can use the parking lot at my office for float building/pre-stage again if we go that route. |

I think this would be ideal. I can work on sending out feelers to all those parties you mentioned... _________________ ------------[] O |

It is official we are registered in the 2008 Holiday Parade for November 29 with the parade starting at 5:30 p.m.
I spoke with the coordinator and we will be up towards the front again this year!
I will post more details about the float building/staging, etc soon.

We need plenty of lights since it'll be dark by the time the parade starts. |

Details!!!! Details!!! Details!!!
Alright the parade is Saturday November 29 starting at 5:30!
Come help build the float or decorate your bike on the day of the
parade at 333 Midland Place at the intersection of Midland
Ave and Winchester Rd starting at 2:30.
Some supplies will be provided but bring anything else you think you or others could use to decorate.
BYOB (Bike, Beer, Bullhorn, etc)
I am sure there will be a gathering at some watering hole after the parade! |

Are there any preplanned ideas for the float? |

I think I'm going to go with pat's idea from last year and loading up the xtra with boxes to look like presents, can someone bring a lot of boxes, I'll try and bring holiday wrapping paper. |
