I was in Louisville last week, and spotted this type of rack, which I think is a pretty nice and simple design - one could potentially hold 3 bikes with this semi-coiled configuration.

I saw those last weekend, too! They're so austere. I like them. _________________ mick jeffries

I have a few rack designs, but I have been told that Lextown is going to have a few sculptural racks so the designs are mine. ha ha ha. No but really part of the money the city has planned to use recently is supposed to go toward some bike racks like the ville. |

I was curious about that contest too. That went down while I was at blacksmithing school in NC. |

I almost submitted some designs, but I was in Chicago. Mailing the packet of stuff they wanted would have been difficult and I couldn't reference my stockpile of metal to see how much stock I would have to buy.
I really wonder if anybody even entered the contest. The small comission they were offering and the strict limitations may have scared most sculptors away.
You all would have loved my design, I was going to get it sprayed with Rhino-lining so it would not scatch frames. |
