ok, Ween I'll give you... I can name maybe, two of their songs. Ok I can name only one. Never really caught my radar screen.

On a fine April evening in 2003 however, I just about shit my pants with rock n' roll.

Damn, we need The Burch around here to talk about storied rock shows from Lexington's past... Pixies at the UK Ballroom, Superchunk at the ballroom, Les Savy Fav hanging from the rafters at Yat's...

Oh hell, get a few brews in me and I'll reel off a show list that'll make me sound like a crotchety old man. And stay off my lawn! Damn kids.

Well, another forum was asking for apple pie on our opening night so I guess a cake won't be a problem. We'll set up a tiny bakery next to the sound booth. That would rule, actually.

Hey, just saw on the Dame's website (it's back up and running) that the opening night band at the new location is Same As It Ever Was, the Talking Heads tribute band.

Now that's no GBV, and I may or may not shit my pants with rock n' roll!, but I'll be there and I'll be glad to be hangin' at the Dame again. And they are a pretty fun band to boot.
