Boyd and I were talking today about the corners, walls, etc. Word is folks want to have an alley cat to raise polo $$$ (a bike-in or dance party on the polo court would be fun also).

Here are some numbers we (brian, alex, grant, brad, shane and I) did when we were trying to get money from Andrea James (We got $250)

This is just for the plywood, not the 2x4s or any other materials to connect the wood, etc.

Good

Only round four corners with plywood boxes
Paint mural on corner boxes
24 ft corners = 3 sheets of plywood
4 corners = 12 sheets of plywood
4x8 sheet ½ inch CDX plywood = $17.09 (Congleton)
$17.09 x 12 sheets = $204.84

Better
Round four corners with plywood boxes
Paint mural on corner boxes
24 ft corners = 3 sheets of plywood
4 corners = 12 sheets of plywood
4x8 sheet ½ inch CDX plywood = $17.09 (Congleton)
$17.09 x 12 sheets = $204.84
Build 2 ft wall to run length and width
32 sheets cut in half (2 ft height) no mural
4x8 sheet ½ inch CDX plywood = $17.09 (Congleton)
$17.09 x 32 sheets = $546.88
Total for 4 corners (4 ft tall with mural) and 2 ft height running length
= $751.72

Best
Round four corners with plywood boxes
Paint mural on corner boxes

4x8 sheet ½ inch CDX plywood = $17.09 (Congleton)

Build 4 ft wall to run length and width
64 sheets with no mural
4x8 sheet ½ inch CDX plywood = $17.09 (Congleton)
$17.09 x 64 sheets = $1,093.76
Total for 4 corners (4 ft tall with mural) and 4 ft height running length
= $1,298.60

Now that they have resurfaced we should also go ahead and paint that shit. I think that Brad already has the paint so we just need to figure out the best way of applying it and get on it. Turner had some great ideas about striping the court too.

soccer field stripers are usually good, or since its flat and imperfections are more visible, maybe just chalk lines and tape. ive done that for striping hardtop for soccer before and it works well.

Brad is testing the sports surface paint on the court as I type this. He's going to paint a small section just so we can see how it holds up, but mostly to make sure it will stick.

The court will be blue, with red line markings.

I just posted these as examples of what we might want to consider doing. We can definitely paint up the center how ever we want, and yes, I think a skully needs to go there in the center for sure.
