Ok, I think Alex has lost his tall bike privileges. Someone needs to come with me either later today or early tomorrow and help me liberate it so I can ride it in the parade.

Alex won't be in town for the parade.

If folks want to ride a tiny bike, funny bike, frankin bike there are some extra at Wildcat Wheels. We can meet at Phoenix Park and get our drink on then head over to the WWBL before the parade and jump on those bikes.

Just an FYI - part of Phoenix Park - the area around the base of the parking garage and part way into the law where we hung out last year - is fenced off currently.

I got the following for the Save Downtown Lexington Facebook group today...
Quote:
Mayor Newberry has been the #1 advocate for leveling our entire block. He helped Dudley Webb spring this "CentrePointe" project on us in the dead of night, and has also left the public and even our our Council members in the dark. Though Newberry wants us to give our tax dollars to the Webbs, he hasn't bothered giving us input or even listening to us.

Here's the plan. Newberry will be marching in the parade this 4th of July, which starts at 2:00. Let's get a huge crowd gathered in front of what was The Dame and Busters, and when Mayor Newberry walks by, give him the verbal "greeting" that he so richly deserves.

We'll get local TV and print news covering the event if our turnout is big enough, I can assure you.

Does anyone have a way to get into Alex's house and retrieve the tall bike short of drop kicking his front door? I will gladly ride it if we can get a hold of it.

Lets make this happen. Who knows what the rain will do but when is the last time that we let the rain stop us from riding?

They say rain all day but the radar does not look too bad.
