In todays H-L - http://www.kentucky.com/141/story/397377.html
Kyle made the front page of the paper. Unfortunately the online version does not have photos. _________________ "The path of least resistance is what makes the river crooked! - Utah Phillips |

I especially like the speed lines they put behind my bike.
I thought the article was pretty good but I had a few minor complaints. Regardless, it will be good publicity. What did you'll think? Hopefully this will mark a major step for bike polo in Lexington. _________________ "AK'll light up your chest like ET."

I'm glad he added on the last section about Coolivan Park now being the rejuvenated home for bike polo. _________________ I am a cricket. |

Chris, the writer, did not make some of the edits Brian and I suggested so there are a few errors and Henry's quote remained in...
Here are the shots from online:

another thing to keep in mind is, Chris wrote this piece about a week after that last time we all played at Masterson (the day he came out to interview us, and the day we got into an argument with the roller hockey guy).
So, at the time we were just beginning the talks with the city about Coolavin Park, so that is really the biggest difference between the original draft and what ended up printed - we wanted to make sure that was included.
Yes, there are a few things we asked him to correct that were not corrected, but I think they are negligible. Also of note, we play mostly "Little Beirut" rules now (end of mallet shots only count) - but we failed to catch that.
I think it's a pretty nice piece. Good timing, too.

Dammit Henry!
I guess the article is ok considering it was written, what, two months ago and then hardly updated.
A comments section would have been awesome. We could hear about how we're all godless bike riding commies. |

Yeah I agree the errors are minor and overall it is good exposure. I am glad he came out and did the piece. Several workmates who did not know anything about bike polo or that I play took notice of the article and how prominent it was in the paper.
With all the fallout from Rolex and the Derby maybe fans will flock to this "new" sport... _________________ "The path of least resistance is what makes the river crooked! - Utah Phillips |
