Tweed Ride
March 17, 2012
Meet immediately after the St. Patrick's Day Parade outside of SideBar Grill on Limestone (around 4pm).
Prizes for Most Dapper Chap, Most Dandy Lass, Most Snappy Steed, and Best Moustachio! The ride includes several stops at which you can enjoy an old timey photo booth, homebrew, and other fun activities. Bring some cash for suggested donations if enjoying some of these extra treats! All proceeds benefit Lexington Bike Polo in anticipation of Ladies Army IV.
An afterparty will take place at Sidecar (next to Al's) with Green Beer and Karaoke!

Anyone know whether Sprocket Jockey ped cabs are still around? A friend and I want to ride and our wives would like to come along after seeing the Ped Cabs last year. I forwarded an e-mail to 'Lauren@sprocketjockeys.com' to check on rates/reservations but have not heard anything back; the phone number listed on their web site is also inactive.
Would appreciate any feedback; thanks and look forward to the ride.

I thought I heard James say that Sproket Jockeys was kaput... but don't quote me on that. _________________ ------------[] O |

Is anyone riding in the parade or are we just doing the tweed ride after the parade? |

More importantly, who's buying Tim a birthday beer that day? _________________ ------------[] O |

There was an email that went out from the organizers of the parade, but I don't know if anyone followed up on it.
edit: today is the last day to confirm a parade entry with them |

I got the email last week and didn't respond. Thanks Tiff for picking up the tweedness and rolling it down main street. They've always been enthusiastic to have bicyclists in the parade, so I'm sure we have a spot. As Bill Enright, our organizer contact, said, "We won't put you behind horses, I promise." I emailed him earlier today saying we're pumped to participate.
That said, I thought last year's parade turnout was less than the first tweed ride. How can get more attendance in parade? Most tweed folks will show up at Sidebar during the parade and wait for the ride. |

Ok, we are registered!
If you want to ride in the parade, you must be at Main and Midland before 2:15pm. There is waiver you must sign in order to participate.
We'll designate a more detailed meet up spot soon. _________________ T$ |

For anyone that wants to be in the parade, we're meeting at Main and Midland (like Tiff said) over by the horse statues at 2:15, with the parade starting at 2:30. I'll have an official looking piece of paper for everyone to sign and be official! |

Once again it'll be warm for the parade because I'm not in charge. You're welcome. |
