|
I had a 20" black bike with white/grey words "HyperBikeCo" written on the frame stolen from my apt this weekend. [Oct 29, 30, 31, 2011]
It was locked under the stairwell... The lock is gone, the bike is gone.
You can see what kind of bike it is here: http://www.walmart.com/ip/20-Hyper-Spinner-Pro-BMX-Bike/11065501
I haven't seen anyone else with one[yet], but the chain is kinda rusty and the pedals still have their stickers on them. There should be duct tape residue on the bar between the handlebars, but i can't remember if any of it actually got left on there.
I live on Red Mile and i know there are idiots who drink and stuff, but it was locked. I feel there was the bike next to mine stolen or moved a week before, as their lock is laying under the stairwell.

i saw a guy riding what looked like my bike on nicholasville road last night- he was at least 6' tall- i was too afraid to approach him, as i couldn't tell for sure it was mine- [i'm 5'3]
how would you feel if someone asked you if it was their bike? would you answer truthfully? :\
should i have asked him about it? i'll file a police report today- it was a nice day to ride my bike to work too..... -.- |

Hopefully your results will be different. |

My bf's bike was stolen from a location close-by on a similar date, similar scenario (cut lock). May have been the same thief. (See Stolen Trek 2.1 topic). We thought it was gone for good, but someone miraculously found his bike abandoned at Addison Park behind Red Mile yesterday, so it may still be in your area. |
