sorry to disappoint, but the race is going to have to be postponed til friday november 4th. call it some personal short-comings and lack of co-operation from the powers that be. good news is that the prizes will all be better and the after-party will be an actuality. sad face emoticon

WTF this is lame as hell...why even do it next week at all.

Booooo and obviously now not in the Halloween ghost sense.

I got the ok's from my roommates.

I'd be TOTALLY "down with it" if we just wanted to gather everyone at the courthouse for the previously mentioned time, take a leisurely costumed jaunt through highly populated areas downtown and on campus, then finish here. A tree fell a couple months ago a couple houses down and we have a good deal of firewood from that to get a nice bonfire going.

I won't guarantee *free* mass beverages or food, but we could probably take care of ourselves pretty well via Coliseum Liquor and Big Daddy's, and money could still go to the animal cracker shelter and good times could be had.

Just a suggestion, let me know ASAP if it's approved via the powers that be and I'll publish the address.

Also, I heard Andy's bluetooth was actually a piece of Winterfresh gum.

A'ight, then, party starts at the court house at 8:30, goes to the lovely and talented James's place, we party and burn shit right through til Saturday night, when whomever is still alive goes to Pat's.

Done, and done.

So, to be clear, meet tonight (Friday) at the courthouse for a ride through town, then end at James' for crazy party time?

In the interests of my health, I will not be riding tonight but I will stop by the after party and check out the swag costumes. Maybe drink a beer if the doctor gives the OK this afternoon.

Zach FUCK THE DOCTOR AND DRINK WITH US! Seriously though, I haven't seen your face in forever!
I am pretty dissapointed about the alleycat being postponed but party at my house sounds just as fun! I won't be making it to the ride around downtown because my room/house needs some cleaning.

It is disappointing, especially since this race has traditionally been one of the biggest, most anticipated races each year - to have it suddenly postponed 24 hours before it is supposed to go down, without any real concrete reason just leaves everyone feeling even more empty handed.

Thankfully, we still get to gather for a costumed ride and a party afterwards, and those who had made plans for this (and potentially put off other plans, since it is Halloween weekend after all) still get to keep those plans intact.

Alright, my apologies for this being such a shit show. I'm taking over the ride. It IS happening tonight as planned. SAME TIME, SAME PLACE.
The after party will still be at James's place. If you want to show up and lesiurely ride, do it. If you want to race, do it. I have the checkpoint workers and the manifest planned out. Show up in costume either way. Bring your party face and your booze. If you can't do the ride, come to the after party.

I understand this isn't the ideal way for this to work out, so cut me some slack.
