INDIANA INVITATIONAL II - July 30th, 2011
Alright polonauts, the time draws near. Here's the schedule:
Friday: Check-in is at the Atlas (a bar) at 4th & College. No pickup that night cause most people are getting in late, we have preparations to make, and we want people to actually sleep (and party If you need housing on Friday night please come to check-in so we can hook you up with your host. It just makes things easier for everyone.
Saturday: Court construction is at 7am (feel free to come) and play starts at 9am sharp. Swiss rounds during the day, double elimination in the afternoon. We'll crown a champ around 7 or 8, then big afterparty at my place (das polohaus/Grant & Dodds) around 9 or 10. FYI - the award for "Party's Hardest" will be awarded at Midnight on Saturday. You hear that Louisville and St.Louis???
Sunday: 11am (ish) brunch at the Runcible Spoon (6th st between Grant & Dunn) then pickup/mimosas/teardown at the courts from noon til ???
$30/team, uniforms strongly encouraged. There will be an award for best dressed.
Everyone who comes is guaranteed to play at least 6 games, maybe more depending on time.
Lunch will be served around 1pm. The menu is "mexican feast" with some delicious carnitas-style pulled pork and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Dinner is up to you, but we will gladly point you in the direction of one of the many amazing restaurants in town. Or you can just start drinking
Housing: if you know you need a place to stay just let me know! We'll have plenty of floorspace, a fair amount of couches, and a small "tent city" will be popping up in Tyler's backyard. Keep in mind all the Blooomington polo players live within a six block radius, so you matter where you are you'll be close to friends, the afterparty, and lots of restaurants/shopping/etc. |
