I have a box of decent parts - seatposts, platform pedals, flat bars, a couple of bent LX derailleurs, etc. Is there a place that could use it around here?

Wildcat Wheels can always use stuff, see Shane of Jakob. And Brad's work with the refugee ministries bike program, don't know whether he could use 'em or not.

If you have any Ultegra shifters I could use those. Very Happy

There's also been talk of a bike swap meet either the day of Bike Lexington or the night before. Bring your parts box to that and write 'free' on it.

and refugee ministries is helped through pedal power ( i think anyway, i dont really know much about it - just what i saw on their website)

Pedal Power is partnered with this organization, http://www.worldbicyclerelief.org/ and also has it's own program called Shifting Gears that is has been involved with along side Kentucky Refugee Ministries.

I don't know all the details, but Brad or Billy from Pedal Power would be able to answer any questions about donations... I'd give the shop a call. Complete bikes may be more useful to them, though.

Wildcat Wheels would be a great place to start if all you have is miscellaneous parts that are still in good working order.
