Bicyclist collapses in Lexington

A bicyclist was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday morning after collapsing in south Lexington.

The man, who has not been identified, was crossing the street at Wellington Way and Cornwall Drive when he collapsed, witnesses told police.

It was initially thought he had been struck by a car, Lexington police spokesman officer Chris Sutton said.

Police officers performed CPR until an ambulance arrived and took him to St. Joseph, Sutton said.

The man's condition was not available.
