I am in search of a fairly cheap fixed gear to cruise around Lexington with. I attend UK and since I cannot bring my bike with me, I need to just find one there. I am currently in Berlin, but will be back in Lexington for Spring. Ican't not have a righteous bike in that city. Thanks. Email: stepcire@yahoo.com

the newest bike shop in town has complete single speed / fixed gear bikes by SE for less than $300. Lexington Bicycle Center on Red Mile Rd. Not sure if you can find an "off-the-shelf" that cheap anywhere else in town.

Might not be the best choice if you're looking for super-quality, though.

If those are the same ones I looked at in there last week, they're single speed only. No flip flop hub.

Probably a good bike for a college kid saving his/her pennies for beer, though.

Burton had one at polo yesterday as his new polo bike. The SE "Draft". I didn't get a good look at the rear hub. I think the "Lager" is the next model up and comes with a flip-flop hub.

I just went to the new shop and they have a Lager there. It looks ok but with the price tag over $500.00. It might be good if you want to get something right off the shelf that you can imediately ride.
