Time: Saturday, November 5 at 7:00pm - November 6 at 2:00am
Location: Al's Bar of Lexington

Come on down and help us celebrate our 1st Birthday. Visit our current shop before it becomes the "old shop."

We will have Dee Jay Lee Roy laying down the tracks while we celebrate. Enjoy some drink specials, get you something nice to eat from Al's and dig in on some birthday cake.

This will be your last chance to purchase a raffle ticket for a pair of classic his and hers 1969 Robin Hood bikes, made in England and refurbished by Folk Bike ReCyclery. Raffle will be drawn at 8 pm.

Live music starts at 9 pm ($5 cover to benefit Broke Spoke) with Sheisty Khrist (Hip Hop) and others.

Plus Much Much More.

This is gonna be a fun night to celebrate everything we have been able to accomplish in the first year and to give all the volunteers and supporters the recognition they deserve.

Interesting fact: Raleigh Bicycles made the Robin Hood line, as an off-shoot brand. Check out the badge: http://www.flickr.com/photos/radfordred/2983107401/

Around that time Raleigh was selling at least 5 different brand names, including Robin Hood and Rudge. They were all pretty much identical bikes, with different badges and chainrings. They did it so each bike shop in a city could have its own exclusive brand.
