Hey gang, we need to meet up as a group and start to form committees and delegate responsibilities for the Midwest Open Tournament.

A lot of the preliminary stuff with the city and insurance is already being handled by Brad and myself, but that's only a small part of what needs to be done. And we have A LOT to do.

Meeting has been set for this Thursday, August 19th at 7pm. My house.

PM me if you need directions. This will be the first of what will be several meetings between now and then, so if you want to be involved but can't make this one, we'll hold others soon. I'll also post the progress of each meeting here on the forms.

I can definitely help and Thursday is best for me as well. I don't care where we meet, but you're right about not doing it during polo. How about somewhere downtown since it's more central...maybe somewhere with alcohol?? Smile

Tonight some of us are meeting at Al's about the Prog dinner, so if it's tonight, it'll have to be after 8.

I'm up for somewhere downtown... but I think it should be somewhere where we can all gather around and talk as a group. All the times we've tried to meet and talk about stuff at Al's, it just turned out that a few people at one booth were actually talking about relevant stuff, and everyone else is spread out at other tables just drinking and shooting the shit. I'm afraid it will be like that at nearly any bar we try to go to, unless we had a large area to gather everyone around, and there's not a lot of other stuff going on to distract us.

Sorry to be stubborn about this, but there needs to be progress on this... I want everyone to be listening, and focused so we all are on the same page and we all know what is going on.

I just wanted to clarify that another meeting was going on at 7pm, so it'd have to be later. Not saying go to Al's for this. Sorry for confusion! I can easily bring a lovely sixer to anyone's house!

That's fine with me... actually 7pm probably would be best, but we can be flexible. Is 7pm ok with everyone?

We'll probably need to have periodic meetings, so consider this the first official one to lay the groundwork for what needs to be done.

For starters, everyone checking this forum and is interested in helping out with this, shoot me a PM with your phone & email. I will send out a mass text and email with details.
