So there have been discussions as to how to raise money for teams going to upcoming tournies. Some ideas included hosting another tourny, doing a 2 on 2 mini tourny, bake sale, alley cat, etc. Last night I think a really great idea came up, which was to charge a toll of $1 each Wed and Sun to play polo. This money will go towards A) the second court that we built that I am still in a $100 hole B) Lexington representing at tournaments (mainly Midwests, ESPI/Ladies Army, and N.A.s)
I figure since most come play and buy beer and junk food from the corner store that we can all afford a buck to a good cause.
Any comments, cries of outrage? _________________ T$ |

well im in the hole $50 and andy said he is owed money as well. I dont know how well having to pay to play polo is going to set with people. are the people owed money going to pay?
Fundraisers are a great idea i mean the stupid obstacle mini bike course was so fun and easy to do and we made money. just a thought, there are a bunch of things you can do |

i think throwing in a dollar as often as you can wouldnt be a problem. as you can being the key part. i think everyone would really be psyched if they got gas money to go to tournys or registration covered. court up keep paid for and what not. balls purchased. hell we could use it to buy goals. |

I'm all for the raising of funds in whatever way works best. I think people will either give the $1 or not, but they will still come play regardless. Tiff I still need to collect some shirt money from Jared (I think) that will be going to you.
One thing to keep in mind is Lex is going to be hosting the first Midwest Open Tournament (formerly thought of as the 9th Midwest Champeenships) in November, so we're going to need to start ramping up all kinds of ideas for fundraising and delegating of tasks to pull it off.
I'm guessing this will be about twice the size of Chris' Invite a few weeks back... _________________ ------------[] O |
