December 20th will be the longest night of the year. Each following day will have more sunlight. This is worth celebrating with an alleycat! I will keep things simple. All registration money will be split between the first man and first woman. There will be additional prizes. Bring some type of camera and expect to ride a significant distance.
Registration: 3pm at Coolavin Park (corner of Sixth & Jefferson). $5
Start: 3:20pm
Finish: Coolavin Park. Polo will be underway. Watch or jump in a game.
This longest night was Christmas Eve until Pope Gregory messed with our calendar in 1582. The Winter Solstice will occur around noon on the next day. This solstice is celebrated in many ways.

I hope to see a few road racers at this event. You know you want a break from steady base miles.

I'm ready! The more riders who register, the bigger the payout. There will also be prizes for each checkpoint. |

That would be up to Dave, I suppose... but Lexington has a history of doing alleycats no matter what it's doing outside. _________________ ------------[] O |

You mean the slightly damp roads and above freezing temperatures? |

Yeah, just ask any of the racers or checkpoint workers who participated in the last Oaks Day alleycat, or the Rock N Roll alleycat, or... _________________ ------------[] O |
