Alright there are lots of bike events happening at the end of the month to finish off Bike Lexington.

Thursday May, 27 Bike Lexington will be showing Pee Wees Big Adventure after Thursday Night Live.

Saturday May 29 is the Second Annual Bike Bash with Stunt performance by Professional Trials Rider Mike Steidley, (website). Head-to-head roller races. Challenge your friends and see who can do the fastest 1KM on a beach cruiser! Food and drink vendors including Lexington’s own bike powered smoothie makers, The Berry Pedalers. http://berrypedalers.com. Music, outdoor bike films and much more!

Monday May 31 Is the family fun 10 miler and a crit race from 1 -7 p.m.


We need Volunteers for all of these events. If you are interested. Contact Keith Lovan to get on the schedule, KLovan@lexingtonky.gov. We are looking for 2 hour shifts to be covered from 5:30 -10:30 on Saturday and 12 - 7 p.m. on Monday.

Do they need volunteers for the Bike-In movie, or will that be staffed?

I believe it will be staffed but I'll check.

I think DLC is just gonna stick around and do it after Thursday Night Live.

With the growing number of riders wishing to participate, I know Keith would welcome your help at the Family Fun Ride registration table and with other goings on.
Registration duties include signing folks up - your friends probably - helping them with their wrist band if necessary, and giving them their free blinkie along with a smile.
It gets busy as ride time nears and you have several hundred people queueing up.
When everyone gets signed, we can join the ride.
Hope to see everyone at the Courthouse Plaza Memorial Day morning, volunteering or not.
