Thursday Jan 7
9:00 p.m.
Gratz Park
Finish at Als Bar for Drink Specials
For the last few years a small rag-tag group of folks have gathered late in the evening to ride on one of the coldest days of the year. Every year it has been a gamble to see if we truly are gathering on the coldest day but each time it has never been warm!
Folks have always asked, "why do you want to ride late night on the coldest day of the year." Many of the answers given are roughly the same, "because if I ride tonight, then I can ride anytime and in any type of cold weather KY has to offer."
It is not just about being die hard but also about celebrating our freedom on the bike (like usual) but taking to the streets when they are the most empty.
Come on out and go for a small ride with us (has ranged between 1 and 10 miles in years past). We will finish the ride at Als Bar for some drink specials for those brave enough to ride. Christmas Ale and a shot of Wellers for $5!
If you show up to the bar and did not ride be prepared for havoc. |

Man, I freakin' love this ride each year. Hopefully it will be super-sketchy out with the snow and all.... _________________ ------------[] O |

Shaping up to not be the coldest day (that might be coming on sunday) but looks like we will have some snow fun. |

Saturday night is supposed to be the coldest night this weekend according to the weather channel. They say it will hit 11 degrees. |

I think with the Frozen Chosen we can safely go either way... either shoot for the coldest night, or the one with the shittiest weather. We basically only get one snowfall a year, and it's even more rare when we get any significant accumulation.
It's all a crap shoot anyway. I would hate to be in the job of predicting weather. _________________ ------------[] O |

I'm sure you could be a good local media fear monger if you tried hard enough. And had a conscience-ectomy. |
