Dear Bluegrass Cyclists:

We are having an organizational meeting to plan a network of mountain bike trails at Shaker Village. We have approval to come up with a trail plan, which will be presented to their president. In case you didn’t know, Shaker Village (www.shakervillageky.org) sits on 3000 acres, and is only about 25 miles from downtown Lexington. We have the opportunity to double the miles of trails in the Bluegrass!

Come to our meeting to also find out about the new trail system at Veteran’s Park, the trail-building opportunity in Red River Gorge, and the Forest Service’s proposal to segregate horses from hikers/bikers at Cave Run Lake!

The year 2010 could be great for mountain biking in the Bluegrass, but we need your help. (If you can’t make it to the meeting, but would like to attend remotely, please contact Jim Johnson at jjohnson@fhce.com.)
