If you have ever gone down to Wildcat Wheels and benefited from some cheap or free parts then they really need help today.
They will be there till 7. Even if you have only 15 mins to give, you can still strip down a bike
You owe it to them :)
WILDCAT WHEELS VOLUNTEER EVENT
Come and join us this Thursday November 5th for an all day event at Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Shop. Support the Lexington community's only recycling bike shop by fixing, cleaning, organizing, and beautifying our humble shop and backroom. We will be around from 12pm to 7pm and have something to do for everyone. This is also a good chance to rack up some volunteer hours. We are hoping to have some food and drinks, music, and good times.
Things you might be doing:
-cleaning
-moving
-fixing
-signs
-building
There is also a list of things that we need donated for the shop. If you would like to purchase or make anything below, it would be much appreciated
-Food and drinks for the day
-Cleaning supplies (for workshops and bathroom) (gojo hand cleaner, mop)
-Bike hooks (can be purchased at chevy chase hardware)
-wood screws (~3.5") and nails
-heavy duty extension cords
-and as always, we accept any bicycle donations
Wildcat Wheels is located in the basement of Blazer near Euclid and Martin Luther King. It is between Blazer and New North residence halls. (see our website)
and if you have any questions, contact Scott Beckmeyer at sbeckmeyer[at]gmail.com
See you soon!

thanks to all who could make it down to help out as well as to those who provided grub for the volunteers. We made a ton of progress today, but we still have a long way to go to make the shop much more streamlined and efficient. thanks again to those who could make it out, and to the rest of you, I hope to see you next time, seriously, free ale-8s and stuff.
we will most likely have another volunteer day within a month or so, so please keep an eye out, and as always, drop by anytime we are open for repairs, advice or to volunteer. thanks.
